Why we started
The gap we noticed in our own district
Dahod and the talukas around it run on functions. Weddings, bhandaras, community meals, garba nights — there is always something being cooked for a few hundred people. Yet almost every plate served at those events had travelled from Ahmedabad, Vadodara or further.
That meant two things. Buyers were paying freight and trader margin on a low-value product where both hurt. And when a size ran short two days before a function, nobody local could help.
Jaivik Patel set up Reva Disposable to close that gap. Production
How a plate actually gets made
Board selection
Food-grade paper board arrives in reels and is checked for GSM against the grade we have committed to for that product. Board below spec gets sent back rather than quietly used.
Lamination, where required
Silver foil plates get their foil layer bonded at this stage. Even bonding matters — patchy lamination lifts once hot food sits on the plate.
Die pressing
Blanks are pressed into shape. Rim depth and diameter are gauged here, because this is the stage where a plate quietly becomes half an inch smaller than it should be.
Batch inspection
Random plates are pulled from each batch and pressure tested at the rim. If a batch fails, it does not go into cartons.
Counted packing and dispatch
Cartons are counted, labelled with product, size and quantity, then sealed. LR number and vehicle details go to the buyer on WhatsApp the same day.

We could have kept a small plastic line for buyers who still ask. We chose not to. Every item we make is paper based, which means a buyer never has to check whether a particular product is legal to serve. There is a commercial logic to it as well. The Indian disposable tableware market was estimated at roughly USD 10.4 billion in 2025 and is growing at close to 10% a year, with paper and plant-based material taking the largest share of that growth. Betting the unit on paper was not a sacrifice. It was reading the direction of travel.
Where we deliver
