What separates a good plate from a cheap one

Two disposable paper plates can look identical in a photograph and behave completely differently on a serving counter. The difference sits in the board and in the die.

  • Board GSM. Thin board saves the manufacturer money and costs the caterer a spilled plate. We hold GSM per size instead of dropping it when paper prices rise.
  • Rim depth. A deep, properly pressed rim is what stops gravy running over the edge. It is also the first thing cheap plates give up.
  • True measurement. Our 10-inch plate measures 10 inches. Plenty of plates sold as 10-inch in this market do not.
  • Foil bonding. On silver foil paper plates the lamination must bond evenly, or it lifts once hot food sits on it.
Buying guide

How to choose the right disposable paper plates

Most people ordering disposable paper plates for the first time start with price per piece. It is the wrong place to start. A plate that costs ten paise less but fails under a full thali will cost far more in complaints, and in a caterer’s case, in repeat business.

The better starting question is what food will sit on it. Dry farsan needs almost nothing. A full Gujarati thali with dal, kadhi and shaak needs a foil laminated plate with a genuine rim. Once the food is decided, the size and grade follow naturally.

Silver paper dish — the default for full meals

Silver foil paper plates are the most ordered item in our range, and it is not close. The foil layer does two things: it stops oil from seeping into the board, and it holds heat slightly longer, which matters when food is served from a buffet counter.

For weddings, the 10-inch and 12-inch silver foil paper plates carry the load. For snack counters and prasad distribution, 6-inch and 7-inch move faster. Buyers who order silver foil paper plates in bulk usually take a mix — a large size for meals and a small size for sweets — on the same vehicle.

Leaf print paper dish — when appearance matters

Leaf design paper plates were originally a festival product, but they have moved well beyond that. The printed patravali look photographs better than plain white, which matters more than you would expect now that every function ends up on somebody’s Instagram.

Temples ordering for bhandara, garba committees and destination-wedding planners are the main buyers of leaf design paper plates. Physically they are the same construction as our foil plates — the difference is the printed surface, not the strength.

Tea paper cup — the steadiest line in the business

Paper cups wholesale is a different rhythm from plates. If plates are seasonal, cups are not. A tea stall pours the same number of cups in December as in June. That is why paper cups wholesale is the most predictable part of our order book, and why we keep 65ml and 100ml in continuous production.

For offices and canteens, 150ml and 200ml are more common. Anyone serving cold drinks or chaas moves to 250ml. Offices ordering paper cups wholesale usually settle on one size and stay there for years. Buyers taking paper cups wholesale in larger volumes often add custom printing — a shop name on the cup costs very little at scale and works as advertising with every serving.

Buying as a bulk paper plates supplier or dealer

A fair number of the people reading this page are not end users. They are looking for a bulk paper plates supplier they can rely on month after month — a bulk paper plates supplier to stock behind their own counter, or to distribute across a taluka.

That is a different conversation from a one-off order, and we treat it differently. A dealer working with us as their bulk paper plates supplier gets slab pricing tied to monthly offtake, priority scheduling in the production queue, and mixed-carton loads so they are not forced to hold six months of one size. Where volumes justify it, we keep territory clean rather than appointing three dealers in the same town.

The practical advantage of buying from a manufacturer rather than another trader is margin. Every layer between the machine and your shelf takes a cut. Removing one layer is usually the difference between a line that is worth stocking and one that is not.

Packing, counting and dispatch

Plates are packed in sealed cartons, counted rather than weighed. This sounds like a small thing until you have received cartons marked 100 that contained 90 — a shortfall of ten percent that quietly eats a dealer’s margin all year.

Cartons are labelled with product, size and count on the outside so your godown staff do not have to open them to sort stock. Loads leave with an LR number that we send to you on WhatsApp the same day, so you can follow the vehicle rather than call us to ask where it is.

Custom sizes and printing

For regular buyers we run custom work. That covers non-standard plate sizes, specific board grades, and brand printing on paper cups and bowls. Custom runs need a higher minimum quantity because the die or print plate has to be justified, and they take roughly seven to ten working days rather than two to four.

If you are considering branded cups for a restaurant or a chain of tea stalls, send us your logo and the quantity you would realistically use in three months. We will tell you honestly whether the print cost makes sense at that volume or whether plain stock is the better call.

Answers before you order

The 7-inch plate for snacks and the 10-inch for full meals. Between them they are more than half of all disposable paper plates we dispatch. On cups, 65ml and 100ml lead by a wide margin.

Silver foil paper plates are built for exactly that — the foil layer blocks oil and gravy from reaching the board. Plain paper dishes are meant for dry snacks and will soften under gravy.

Yes. We dispatch across Gujarat and by transport into Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Maharashtra. Freight is quoted separately so you can see it clearly. Details are on our contact page.

Wholesale generally starts at one carton per size. Retail buyers ordering for a single function can take smaller quantities. Anyone working with us as a bulk paper plates supplier gets slab rates by volume.

Yes, and we recommend it before a first bulk order. Ask for a sample carton in the sizes you are considering and check the rim and measurement yourself.

Tell us the sizes. We will send the rates.

One message with your sizes, rough quantity and city is enough. You will have a written rate list on WhatsApp before the day is out.

Buying guide

How to choose between our disposable paper plates

Three products, three very different jobs. Here is the short version of what we tell buyers on the phone.

Gravy, oil and heat go to the silver range

If the menu has dal, shaak, sambar or anything with ghee, use the silver foil paper plates. The foil lamination is what stops seepage, and it is the reason caterers keep coming back to silver foil paper plates for full-thali service. As a bulk paper plates supplier we sell these in 4 inch through 12 inch, and the 10 inch and 12 inch move hardest in wedding season. Buying silver foil paper plates one size up is almost always cheaper than dealing with a leaked plate at a function.

Dry snacks and photogenic events go to the leaf range

The leaf design paper plates carry a pressed green leaf finish that photographs well, which is why decorators ask for leaf design paper plates for haldi, mehndi and daytime functions. They handle dhokla, samosa, kachori, dry sweets and fruit comfortably. They are not the right choice for thin gravy — that is what the silver range exists for. Most buyers order leaf design paper plates in 8 inch to 12 inch and pair them with a smaller silver plate for the wet items.

Tea, coffee and cold drinks go to the cup range

Our tea paper cups run from 65 ml cutting-chai size up to 250 ml. Tea stalls order the 65 ml and 90 ml by the case; offices and canteens take 150 ml. If you want a paper cups wholesale price for a standing monthly quantity, tell us the size split and we will quote a slab rate rather than a one-off number. A committed monthly paper cups wholesale price is nearly always better than buying case by case.

Ordering in bulk

A carton is the working unit here. As a bulk paper plates supplier we can mix sizes inside a single dispatch, which matters when you need 10 inch silver, 8 inch leaf and 90 ml cups on the same truck. Ask for a sample carton first if you have never used our disposable paper plates before — press quality is easier to judge in your own hand than in a photo. For repeat buyers we hold a standing bulk paper plates supplier rate so the price does not move every fortnight, and we confirm your paper cups wholesale price in the same message. Whatever the size mix, the disposable paper plates that leave our unit are checked before they are packed.

Product questions

What buyers ask about each range

Which plate should I use for gravy items?

The silver range. Foil lamination is what stops seepage, so silver foil paper plates are the safe choice for dal, shaak and sambar. Going one size up in silver foil paper plates costs less than dealing with a leak at a function.

Are leaf design paper plates suitable for wet food?

Not for thin gravy. Leaf design paper plates are made for dry snacks, sweets and fruit, and they photograph beautifully at daytime functions. Most decorators pair leaf design paper plates with a smaller silver plate for the wet items.

What is your paper cups wholesale price based on?

Size, monthly quantity and whether the order is standing or one-off. A committed monthly paper cups wholesale price is always better than case-by-case buying, so send us the size split and we will lock a paper cups wholesale price for the month.

Can I get a printed paper cups wholesale price?

Yes, but printing needs a minimum run. Share the monthly volume and we will quote a plain and a printed paper cups wholesale price side by side.

Can I mix sizes in one dispatch?

Yes. As a bulk paper plates supplier we regularly load 10 inch silver, 8 inch leaf and 90 ml cups on the same truck. That is the main reason buyers use a bulk paper plates supplier instead of three separate vendors.

How do I check quality before a bulk order?

Ask for a sample carton. Press quality on disposable paper plates is far easier to judge in your hand than in a photograph, and it costs you one carton to be sure. Our disposable paper plates are checked before packing, but we would rather you saw that yourself.
